European Athletics launch 2025 developer hackathon
European Athletics are offering a chance to win tickets to the 2026 European Championships, and this summer's AthTech conference
This post is aimed at anyone developing software — students or professionals — who happen to love athletics and want to be in with a chance of winning tickets to the next European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, 2026.

In the run-up to this summer’s Athletics Technology conference, taking place in San Marino from October 7-9th, European Athletics is launching a summer hackathon.
Who can get involved
If you’re in a university athletics club studying a computing discipline and fancy a project, or know anyone who is, please pass this on! Likewise, it’s open to any hobby developers, or professionals with a bit of free time on their hands.
How to get involved
Developers will be challenged to do something cool and innovative using the full data from last summer’s Rome European Championships, A data set has been released including full results, plus the racing history of every athlete who took part.
The winners will receive tickets to the next European Championships, and a chance to present at AthTech - full details can be found on the AthTech website.
