Feature Improvement: Venue Pages
As we enter a new year, revamped venue pages give greater detail than ever
If you’ve taken a look at our venue pages in the last couple of months, you will have probably seen a rather large upgrade from their rather shabby appearance of years past.
Venue Information
We’ve tried to make the relevant information for each track as accessible as possible, and this now includes listing the organisations based at each track, along with their description.
You can edit most of the basic details on a venue page as long as you’re logged in — if there’s something not quite right, you can bring it up to date!
Competition Listings
Another key element of keeping everything in OpenTrack interconnected is listing competitions past and future, for an easy look at what’s going on.
If your venue has played host to any competitions on OpenTrack, then you’ll see a list replete with details.
If a competition you’ve managed is missing, simply head over to the Competition Details management screen and make sure you have a venue set.
Adding Missing Venues
If you’re looking for a venue, but can’t find it on our global venue page, feel free to add it yourself, using our interactive map.
Bulgaria joins OpenTrack
On a slightly different topic, we’re delighted to have added Bulgaria to the list of countries enjoying the benefits of OpenTrack in 2024.
We’ll have more to share as the indoor season ramps up, but to continue this article’s theme, why not take a look at the page for their Vasil Levski National Stadium?
We hope that our new-look venue pages will prove informative, and we’re always open to hearing what would make them more useful for you, your club, or your federation.
As always, if you have any feedback, requests, or want help bringing your athletics into the 21st century, feel free to get in touch at info@opentrack.run.
