OpenTrack News: Individual Entries Spotlight
Featuring a lot of outdoor competitions — we might even get some sun soon!
It’s a brand new week, with another seven days’ athletics under our belts, from Birmingham to Falkirk, and Malta to Serbia.
Last Monday’s poll saw 64% of voters back Josh Kerr to win the Olympic 1500 metres, ahead of Jakob Ingebrigtsen on 36% — read to the end of this week’s edition to have your say once again!
Individual entries on OpenTrack
With entries flying in from across the world for top quality meetings, now is as good a time as any to highlight our individual entry system, suitable for competitions big or small, whatever the terrain.
Offering a slick process that is familiar to athletes, with custom data collection, smart event filtering, and infinitely configurable pricing, we’re delighted to offer an incredibly versatile product.
Features aside, it’s much more interesting to hear about the system in use, so here are just a few recent examples of our features being put to the test!
Night of the 10,000m PBs - Custom Questions
Well established as an athlete- and spectator focused event, the Night of the 10,000m PBs is making use of our custom questions feature to ask athletes about the desired soundtrack for their 25 laps.
Whilst you’ll have to turn up at Parliament Hill on May 18th to hear the full playlist, we’ve spotted more than a few classics, including a certain Proclaimers classic, and three requests for AC/DC’s Thunderstruck!
After elite entries opened last week, Chile’s Carlos Diaz Del Rio leads the men’s entries with his PB and national record of 27:58.97, set at last year’s edition.
Home favourite and British all-time #3 Jess Warner-Judd is far and away the fastest woman entered so far (30:35.93 PB) — keep an eye out as even more of the world’s fastest athletes get themselves entered using OpenTrack!
European Masters Athletics Indoor Championships
Kicking off this coming Sunday is the European Masters Athletics Indoor Championships, after nearly 3,500 entries were taken on OpenTrack with a minimum of fuss.
With plenty of add-ons for their athletes to choose from, European Masters Athletics made full use of our chargeable extras feature to offer a range of options!
Comeback 5000
While a simple use of our individual entry system, we’re delighted the fourth edition of Comeback 5000 sold out in only a couple of hours just over a week ago, the event having been on OpenTrack since its humble post-Covid beginnings.
With 2021 winner Jenny Nesbitt returning, and 13:25 man Tom Mortimer making his Comeback debut, keep your eyes peeled for some big performances on April 26th!
Poll of the week
We’d love to know if you want to hear more about our individual, team, or relay entry systems, or how to cut admin for you and your competitions, so please share your thoughts, if you have them!
